NELSON 46 CC – EXTENSIVELY REFITTED OFFSHORE KETCH

This Nelson 46 CC is a purpose-built centre-cockpit ketch designed for offshore cruising and extended stays aboard. Her protected cockpit, versatile ketch rig, generous tank capacities and robust construction make her suitable for Mediterranean cruising, long-distance passages and liveaboard use.

The yacht underwent an extensive technical refit during 2024 and 2025, followed by further upgrades to her electrical, navigation and onboard systems in 2026.

MAJOR REFIT – 2024/2025

• Complete overhaul of the Mercedes–Nanni 220S engine
• New service and starter batteries
• Both masts removed and fully serviced
• New internal electrical wiring installed in both masts
• Standing rigging inspected and strength-tested
• New full-batten mainsail and new mizzen sail fitted in 2025
• Running rigging renewed
• Pumps and associated onboard systems serviced or replaced
• New custom-made mattresses fitted throughout the yacht
• Antifouling renewed and hull polished

ELECTRICAL AND ENERGY SYSTEM – 2026

• 440 W fixed solar system with Victron 100/30 solar charge controller
• Additional Victron 75/15 controller for a 160 W portable solar panel
• New Victron 230 V inverter
• Victron SmartShunt battery monitoring system
• Electrical system serviced, with additional corrective works completed in Murter

NAVIGATION – 2026

• New Garmin GPSMAP 723xsv chartplotter
• New Garmin transducer
• Garmin gWind system with new wiring

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT AND RECENT WORKS

• Additional rigging and sail-control lines replaced
• 12 new fenders
• 2 new gas bottles
• New marine toilet pump
• New pressurised water-system pump
• Recently added rigid-bottom inflatable dinghy
• Water-level gauge installed on the smaller water tank
• Zinc anodes replaced
